Design/Working Principles
When current passes through the resistive bimetallic element of the 9700K thermal protector, an increase in current or a rise in the ambient temperature to the set point causes the bimetallic element to actuate rapidly, opening the contacts and cutting off the circuit. When the device cools down to a safe operating temperature, the contacts automatically close, restoring power.
The housing of the 9700K thermal protector is conductive and can be fitted with a temperature-sensing insulating sleeve.
