Design/Working Principles

Temperature Protection Principle:

The 8AME Series thermal protector accurately controls the temperature of electrical appliances. Current flows through the WUYUE bimetallic strip. When an electrical appliance malfunctions, causing the surrounding temperature to become excessively high, the bimetallic strip in the thermal protector opens the silver contacts, thereby protecting the appliance. When the thermal protector cools down to a safe temperature, the contacts automatically close and reset.


Overload Current Protection Principle:

The auxiliary heating element in the 8AME Series thermal protector is matched with the bimetallic strip, enabling precise control of the trip time for overload currents. When the current in the appliance (such as a motor or transformer) exceeds the set trip value due to overcurrent or locked-rotor conditions, the protector instantly cuts off the circuit, ensuring the appliance is protected.
